Specialist Lecturers, Trainers & Assessors in Marine Electrical, Electronics and Marine Engineering fully approved by the British Marine Electrical and Electronics Association (BMEEA).

With over 50 years combined experience within the Marine Leisure and Commercial Industry, we have delivered, assessed and developed courses countrywide both commercially and within a vocational setting.

 British Maritime Training & Assessment was founded in June 2023 when Richard Broden-Cowell and Owen Davies recognised an opportunity to better support the industry more broadly and offer services more widely and nationally. Having played a large part in the development of the Marine Electrical Standards they are also independent EPA assessors for British Marine and OAL. Richard and Owen have delivered the BMET and MEI courses on behalf of British Marine for over 15 years and have been teaching in FE & HE for a combined period of over 20 years.

Richard and Owen both sit on the BMEEA committee and therefore are at the forefront of developments within the leisure industry. These experiences and developments within the industry led to the creation of BMTA.

In June 2024 the BMTA team expanded to welcome Brian McKeown as a partner of the business. Brian has a wealth of experience and knowledge within marine engineering having worked with a wide range of employers as well as having developed customised apprenticeship programs.
